Value for Money

The value of Notschool.net cannot be measured in simple financial terms alone. It is difficult to quantify the long term cost to the economy of supporting young people who have dropped out of the education system and are not able to become net contributors to society. Yet, Notschool.net does provide viable access to full time education and, when measured against the cost of placement in a PRU, Home Tutoring or Out of Borough provision, it is remarkable value for money.

Includes cost of all hardware and 24 hour Internet access.
Cost Comparison

Notschool.net remains very good value for money. The per capita cost has remained constant throughout the past five years at £5,000 in year one and £4,000 in year two. This compares very favourably with the “average cost of £10,000 per capita for a placement in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)”* and is in line with normal school provision.

In addition, there are government initiatives which have allocated funds for the specific Notschool.net client group. Most Local Authorities have details of how to access these funds.

Less than you would think... a lot less. In fact, how does comparable to normal state sponsored provision sound. Right then, how much?
